spend a year living in Dublin or London and take little trips to other parts of Europe from there.
I know I’ve got a ton of crap to finish up here before I do anything of that sort.. but hey, it’s something to work for.

things that say a lot about people:
- the way which they treat the waiter/waitress
- how they feel about the weather
- whether they dog ear pages or highlight in books
- fingernails
- and hands in general
- their preferred creative outlet
- how much they dread/enjoy talking on the phone
- whether or not they drink coffee
- if they ever forget to eat
- how honest they are with themselves (and others)
- if they correct your grammar
- and whether or not they get nervous before haircuts

In every episode, the idea is to reveal new things about the characters, and if we don’t do that consistently throughout the season, then I think we’re blowing it. I don’t like shows where you feel like you know exactly who the people are and exactly how they’re going to behave in every situation. Then it just becomes color-by-numbers where it’s like, “Now these characters are at the circus. Now they’re in a coffee shop.” And you watch their complete, set-in-stone characters unfold in exactly the way you expect them to. That kind of television doesn’t really interest me as a writer. I don’t know that we always succeed, but that’s always the idea: to keep filling in background details and suggesting new colors to Ron—and to every character—that you haven’t seen before. -

I’m quite the solitary person, and living in a little self contained place like this, tucked away among trees would be wonderful. I might invite people in sometimes, or go and share nights with them elsewhere, but I would have my own little place with all it needed. Just me, and perhaps a cat (crazy cat lady in the making). That doesn’t mean I couldn’t be committed to someone, to have a relationship with them, I just wouldn’t share everything - we could love each other without merging and needing each other to do everything. Of course there comes a time in life and relationships when it stops being acceptable to live in your own little world. I’m not quite sure how I’ll fit when that time comes. Maybe this will change. Maybe. All I know is that this little place looks perfect.
